Wine Route: Coastal Plain

Take a wine tour on the coast and on the Carmel Plains. In ancient times, Carmel wines were considered superior and exceptional in quality. They are among the best wines in the mountainous regions of the country. Drive to Zichron Yaacov, one of the first Jewish colonies in modern times.
We will visit the First Aliyah Museum and learn about Baron Rothschild's work and his contribution to the settlements. The Baron is directly responsible for the establishment of the first Hebrew winery. We will visit a local winery in the colony to hear about the industry and later taste local wines. We continue our tour to visit Kibbutz Nahsholim. We will visit the first glass factory, which used the first winery, and take a tour of the kibbutz area and facilities to discuss the importance of the collective system and its contribution to the Zionist enterprise. Lunch time. We keep our trip to visit the Amphora winery, a hidden gem on the side of the road. We will take a tour and taste its well-known wines. Close to the winery are the traces of old wine and oil mills and can be reached in a short and pleasant walk. Return to the hotel.
